Premise Sales Representatives - Business/Government/Federal
A premise sales representative may perform the following tasks:
- Arrange a program of visits to all major potential buyers by contacting prospects and making appointments
- Develop and update their knowledge of the company's and competitors' products
- Visit clients to demonstrate products, illustrate solutions, and solicits orders
- Work out customers' needs and explain and demonstrate products to them, which may involve technical descriptions of products and the way they may be used
- Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms, prepare contracts and record orders
- Report to management on sales and provide feedback on the marketing of new or established products
- Carry out formal presentations of products using Power Point and other training aids
- Attend promotional shows and organize product displays
- Plan to meet sales targets and budgets
- Use e-business technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred
- Strong command of written and oral communication skills
- Three or more years of business to business sales preferred
- Experience or familiarity in technology or telecommunication services beneficial
- Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Demonstrate a high energy level
- Posses abounding self confidence
- Personal need to make a sale for self-fulfillment
- Well-established habit of industry

Premise Sales Representatives - Residential
A residential sales representative may perform the following tasks:
- Acquire new and upgrade current subscribers by conducting door-to-door canvas, appointment or referral solicitation in assigned territory
- Prepare and execute subscriber sales application, arranging for installation date, collecting and remitting revenues as prescribed
- Upgrade and improve sales presentation, knowledge of products, services and rates and attend sales meetings as required
- Systematically review assigned territory to insure dwelling units are contacted on a prescribed, periodic basis
- Maintain required record keeping and reporting of all sales and service activities
- Acquire new or upgrade subscribers by direct contact
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Be punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. College degree is preferred
- Two to three years in customer service or a professional environment
- Outside sales and/or marketing background in telecommunications is a plus
- Excellent communications, relationship building, organizational, presentation and influence skills are essential
- Must have a professional presence
Telephone Sales Representatives
A telephone sales representative may perform the following tasks:
- Call customers to promote products and services and obtain sales
- Work from a script and a list of contacts to promote the products or services by telephone
- Create interest in a product or service and complete a sale or agreement to see a sales representative
- Arrange appointments with sales representatives
- Record changes to contact details on a database and note follow-up action
- Maintain statistics of calls made and successes achieved
- Submit periodic reports on telemarketing activities and results
- Receive calls and provide information, complete a sale, or assist with any problems
- Contact subscribers pending disconnects, change of service or follow-up on installations
- Plan to meet sales targets and budgets
Telephone sales representatives are employed on a full-time, part-time or casual basis, and may be required to do shift and weekend work.
Qualifications:
- Must possess high school diploma or the recognized equivalent in self-study
- Computer knowledge is helpful as information is inputted into a database
- Must have strong communication skills and be friendly and outgoing
- Excellent customer service skills preferred
- Must possess strong work ethic
- Candidates should be comfortable with 100% phone work
