General Wireless Questions  |  Show/Hide all answers

What should I consider in choosing between unlimited and limited wireless access?

In deciding which rate option to choose, the most important consideration is the amount of time the phone service will be used. Limited access is $30 per month, then $0.15 per minute whereas unlimited is a flat rate of $50 per month. There is a $25 activation fee, however, this fee is waived and there is also the opportunity for a free upgrade to GSM phone and service with the signing of a two-year term.

Are there free minutes available on the GTA Limited plan?

The GTA Limited plan offers 30 minutes of free talk every month before the $0.15 per minute rate is implemented.

How long is the GSM phone trade-up offer good for?

If you join the business wireless plan between now and June 30, 2005, you are eligible for a free upgrade to a GSM phone and service.

What is GSM?

GSM began in 1982 as the European standard for wireless communications using digital information. It has since grown to be the most adopted technology for mobile phones in the world. The name originally stood for Groupe Spécial Mobile, but now is referred to as the Global System for Mobiles. GSM runs on different frequency bands for different regions: Asia Pacific 1800 MHz, North America 850/1900 MHz, and Europe 900 MHz.

How can I get a detailed listing of my phone charges?

GTA offers a service that provides detailed phone billing that will enable you to see how your monthly bill is broken down. When you get this feature, you’ll always know your calling history.
